Anuberus is a new-generation being born from the integration of Netherworld affairs of various regions—a hybrid of Cerberus and Anubis. He belongs to the Discipline Division of the Department of Management of the Dead, and his regular duties include guarding the entrance to the "Club Zone" that leads to the Netherworld. However, since the Netherworld is always dim and dark, this essentially means he works nearly 24 hours a day, and it sounds like an incredibly exhausting and daunting job.

Anuberus has 3 heads, each with its distinct personality and thoughts. While they are all called Anuberus, in order to better address them, people prefer to use nicknames based on the color of their ears—Yelloy, Blackey, and Whitey. It may sound informal, but it's quite convenient when they refer to each other. The 3 heads can coordinate independently and freely decide who controls the body at any given time, though only 1 head can be in charge at a time.

Although they each have their own shifts standing guard, Blackey is too complacent while Whitey is too much of a troublemaker, so Yelloy usually ends up handling the entrance duty. He's hardworking and patient, but even when he gets tired of long shifts and hands over the duty to Blackey or Whitey, he can't fully relax, as he still worries about them. That's why whenever he has his time off, he treasures it and stays home all day to rest. As kids, they all loved playing in the cemetery, with no major differences in interests or preferences. However, as they grew up, Yelloy developed a stronger fondness for staying at home, playing video games, watching anime, and reading comics—habits that Whitey and Blackey find difficult to understand, as such things weren't popular in their hometown.

Though the 3 heads have different personalities, their food preferences surprisingly align. Anuberus is a big fan of meat, enjoys extremely sweet desserts, and loves date candy. They're the type of person who could skip a main meal but cannot resist sweets. They once stockpiled huge amounts of canned black tea and coke and always kept rice puddings in the fridge. Additionally, Anuberus is strongly averse to classical music (it makes him drowsy). As for shared hobbies, they all like anime character figures, but more specifically, they enjoy the "process" of maintaining and preserving them, as they can't stand having anything rotting or yellowing.
