While the journey to the afterlife sounds like a bittersweet and sorrowful process, with Meng's considerate, approachable nature and his charisma, the deceased who visit are able to drink their final cup and leave with laughter and joy. Some have even jokingly told Meng that instead of a keeper of memories in the Netherworld, he seems more like a socialite with a knack for charming people.
