Shin Rirang is a wolf Beastfolk from the rural area of Dongyeo City, where he grew up alongside Choi Yuhyun and Byun Woogyu. The 3 of them are childhood friends that share a tight bond like that between family members. Shin Rirang has a calm and sincere personality, like a warm flame burning quietly. His heart-felt words always manage to warm those around him unknowingly. He also has a strong sense of justice that rivals that of Choi Yuhyun. However, despite appearing perfect, he has a bad habit of doing everything with his feet instead of his hands. He is so good with his feet that he has trouble switching back to using his hands.
To pursue the pinnacle of martial arts and push his physical limits, Shin Rirang left his hometown at a young age to remote mountain valleys in search of a master. The martial arts he practice mainly focus on leg-based offense and defense, a traditional style with a long history in Dongyeo City. His smooth, swift leg techniques give off an impressive and stylish vibe. He also possesses a unique ability called Qi. It's a form of energy that can be understood as a type of magic. When he's excited or emotional, his Qi would flow from his blue fur and glow faintly.
One of Shin Rirang's hobbies is poetry and literature. He enjoys reading beautiful poems and collections, often drafting down elegant lines and keeping them in his small diary. Despite his warrior-like appearance, there is a surprisingly soft and romantic side to him. Perhaps because of his love for poetry, he's also quite interested in nature—things like flowing water, whistling wind, glowing moon, and flying birds, things that are the recurring themes of poems. Activities like hiking or stargazing are probably things he also enjoys.
Recently, in the bustling district of Dongyeo City, Shin Rirang's been spotted looking somewhat confused, as though he's often in a state of bewilderment. Upon reflection, it does make sense—Dongyeo City is a place where information and trends change rapidly. Since he is from a rural area, a lot of the things in the city are likely his first encounter, which can make him feel quite disoriented. Having spent so many years training in the mountains, his knowledge seems a bit outdated. Sometimes, he would quietly listen to how people communicate in the bustling districts. When he stumbles over new words or phrases he's picked up and tries to use them, it creates an almost adorable contrast to his otherwise composed and cool demeanor.
