The moment he steps out of Sindara Airport, the wave of heat rushing at him nearly suffocates Paul the Bear. It is not just the temperature. The air is thick with humidity, as if the moisture tries to worm its way into his fur, trapping the sweat and leaving his whole body sticky and miserable. He stands at the airport entrance like an iceberg only a second away from melting into a puddle, sweat seeping out nonstop and soaking the new floral shirt he just bought. Thankfully, Saeng appears the very next moment and blasts him with a jet of water, washing away the oppressive heat clinging to his body.
Once the island's welcome ritual is over, Paul the Bear immediately digs out his carefully prepared supplies from his luggage—cooling patches. The moment he learned that the destination of the Proud Shark's Annual Company Trip was the tropical island of Sindara, he promptly ordered a huge stash of cooling patches and handheld fans strong enough to whip up a gale. But because the cooling patches feel just that good, he almost uses them all up before the trip even begins. In the end, to keep himself from collapsing from heatstroke, he has no choice but to dash into a duty-free shop for a refill before boarding. Throughout the company trip, hidden beneath Paul the Bear's pristine white fur where no one can see, his body is already covered with cooling pads.
With the cooling patches doing their job, Sindara's unbearable heat is no longer a problem. Paul the Bear is finally able to shop in the island market under the blazing sun while staying cool and comfortable. At last, he has the peace of mind to admire the brightly colored tropical fruit desserts. He can even move easily among the boat vendors, picking out local specialties and souvenirs without worrying that the sweltering heat will ruin his vacation. Backed by his cooling patches and handheld fan, Paul the Bear's trip seems to be going smoothly. But before long, something completely unexpected happens...
After going through Sindara's local "welcoming rituals" one after another, the cooling patches stuck all over Paul the Bear's body gradually start losing their grip and peeling off one by one. The moment he loses the protection of those lifesavers, Sindara's stifling heat, which had been kept at bay until now, comes crashing down on him all over again. Even though Paul the Bear is thrown straight back into his sweaty nightmare, he has no intention of giving up! There has to be a way! One way or another, Paul the Bear is going to turn this feverish trial into the best tropical vacation ever!
